I was totally bummed last Friday because I took a cute video of the kids chasing bubbles but I couldn't get it to upload. :-( I guess I'll just tell you that they had lots of fun chasing bubbles that we blew around the classroom with a fan! :-)
Anway, today was a science exploratory day. They were really interested in science-type activities without any encouragement from me. Several of them were weighing objects on our scales and talking to me about which items were heavier than others. Others were asking questions about what types of shells we had in our classroom. We looked at pictures in our science book and talked about types of shells and where they come from, etc... We were planning to make a charcoal garden but I didn't have all my ingredients. So it worked out for us to have science activities today anyway! :-)
Teacher Aaron (used to teach in the Sunshine class) came in to read a story to the kids today. They really enjoyed the book he chose. He did a great job using funny voices!
Our snack today was oreo cookies! YUM!
