Family Contact Info List

A couple mom's mentioned getting a list of everyone's contact information so that you'd have the chance to reach each other for playdates this summer if interested. If you'd like to include your phone number on this list, please put a star by your child's name on the sign-in sheet by Thursday of next week. (June 7th)

Year-End Picnic Information

We've finally nailed down our plans for our year-end picnic! :-) Here's the details...

Thursday and Friday, June 14th and 15th.
-If your child attends both days you are welcome to either attend both days or choose either day to attend.

Time Change: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
-We decided that 9:00 am tends to be still kinda chilly and 10:00 am would be a better time.

What to Bring: We will be having hot dogs (yum!). Please bring a dish to share (for example, chips, dessert, macaronni salad, etc...) and please bring your own drinks for your family. We'll provide plates, napkins and plasticware.

Directions to Felida Park from Little Acorn Preschool:
Take I-5 N and get off at the 99th Street exit. Take a left on 99th St. Follow for quite a while. Take a right on Lakeshore. Then take a left on 122nd. The address for the park is NW 122 St, W of NW 36th, Vancouver, WA 98685.

Zoo Animals - Thursday

We are LOVING this beautiful weather! We spent a good deal of time outside this morning. The kids really enjoyed our closing activity today too. We played "animal charades." They giggled over each other's impression of elephants, monkeys, kangaroos and more.

Zoo Animals - Wednesday

Today all our butterflies hatched and were ready to be released. The kids enjoyed a little more time with them and then we took them out to the playground where they flew away. :-) Here's some photos. I got a little silly with some editing tools. :-)

Playing Outside Monday

Ocean/Beach Week - Monday

We had such a good day today! It was funny, we got to the end of the day to our clean-up time and there was really nothing to clean. The kids had been having so much fun with our sensory table, art projects and books that they really didn't even get out any toys. Everyone got a long well and did a great job following instructions! I was so proud of them that they got to take home a yummy little treat! :-)

Here's a silly video of the kids painting. Their "bead painting" ended up being "hand painting." Big surprise there huh! :-)

May 4th Park Trip

We've been having so much fun this week that I just haven't gotten around to taking pictures! :-) Today I finally caught some Cinco de Mayo fun! They've been learning Spanish all week and I've been sooo impressed! We'll keep using our words the rest of the year and we'll be learning more as well. I just love their little sombreros! So cute!
