Another fun day at the Fire Station! We learned lots of things about fire safety that we'll keep talking about the rest of this week in class. I hope you will also work on them at home. Especially make sure you have a plan and talk it through with your kids on a regular basis. Today the fire fighter shared with us that they have gone into a fire to find a three year old and have come out burned only to find out that the child was already out of the home. Having a place to meet together outside the home is VERY important. Please make sure you plan this with your family and regularly remind your little ones of where that place is.
My camera died on me in the middle of our trip today so if you have any photos you'd like me to share with the class, please email them to apriln@northwest-christian.org. If you have a picture of the class photo, I'd love to upload at least one of those.
Teacher Jo will be sending me photos she took during the afternoon trip since I missed those as well.
Thanks to everyone who brought goodies for the fire fighters. We gave them three yummy baskets of goodies plus more! When we went back in the afternoon they had already been enjoying them! :)
